Understanding Agile Concepts, Part 2: Kanban for Efficiency
Different versions of iterative development practices have been documented since 1957, and started gaining in popularity in the 1990s. But Agile methodologies formalized and hit stardom in 2001 with the publication of the Agile Manifesto, which defined a new way to develop software based on a few core values. Since the Manifesto, several “flavors” of Agile have become popular—Kanban is one of them. This Part 2 presentation extends our review of Agile concepts and explains how to use the Kanban framework to make every day work more efficient. It focuses on the mechanics and measurements found in Kanban, and addresses some of the more common implementation pitfalls and successes that Kanban proponents swear by.
