About the Speaker
Captain Brian Lawrence is the Commanding Officer of Supervisor of Shipbuilding Gulf Coast, who oversees the design, construction contracts, and building of DoD ships. Brian graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and was commissioned as a Special Operations Officer. Later, he obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif. Brian’s Naval career spanned over 28 years specializing as a Naval Diver and Salvage Engineer, Program Management, Project Management, Project Superintendent, Executive Officer and Commanding Officer. Brian is passionate about mentoring future leaders and professional leadership development.
