at Keesler Federal Credit Union in Biloxi, Mississippi
Agile for Anyone
When the Agile Manifesto was published in 2001, it defined a new way to develop software based on a few simple core values. Since then, several “flavors” of Agile have become popular—Kanban is one of them. Agile methodologies have a reputation of producing efforts faster than traditional methods, but can also be difficult to implement well. Back by request, this presentation explains how to use the Kanban framework to make every day work more efficient, and is arguably the simplest version of Agile to implement and adopt. This presentation introduces the mechanics and measurements used in Kanban, and addresses some of the more common implementation successes that Kanban proponents swear by, and pitfalls to avoid. But can an Agile methodology really help if you aren’t in the software development business? Absolutely! Join us to learn how based on real-life examples from non-software teams.
