Thursday June 13 – PMI MGC Social Networking Event: We had so much fun at Parrish’s Lounge in Long Beach back in March that we are hosting another social networking event! This time we’ll be on the patio at Patio 44 in Biloxi on Thursday June 13th starting at 6pm. Do you want to know more about our chapter and how being a member can help your career? Stop by! We’ll provide appetizers (drinks are on you) and fun people to network with in Project Management across the Gulf Coast. While it isn’t required for this free event, it would help us greatly if you would register to let us know you might stop by!
Check out Patio 44 in Biloxi for more information. The address is 124 Main Street, Biloxi, MS 39530.
Thursday June 20 – Dinner Meeting: Jason MacDonald, CIO at Keesler Federal Credit Union, will be presenting on “Change Management.” Registration is open for this meeting at a discounted rate! We will be meeting at the Great Southern Club at the top of the Hancock Whitney building in downtown Gulfport. Recently one of our chapter’s founding members, Randy Shaw, was recognized by the Pass Christian’s Alderman Meeting for his efforts in restoring one of the Katrina sculptures in War Memorial Park. Randy’s efforts, with the help of his amazing grandson Carl, brought life and longevity back to the Eagle 2 sculpture as part of the pilot project for the larger Katrina Sculptures Revitalization Project. Randy and Carl were presented a plaque of the Key to the City, and we are so proud! Randy is planning for the next pilot effort on two additional sculptures as we continue to build out a plan for revitalizing more sculptures along the Gulf Coast.
